Why Palaiou Neurokinesis Exists.

Individuals and families facing neurological challenges, such as stroke recovery, autism, cerebral palsy, ADHD or chronic pain, often struggle to unlock their potential because traditional therapies can overlook the brain's ability to learn and adapt. Without a compassionate guide and a tailored approach, many risk feeling stuck and limited.

At PALAIOU NEUROKINESIS, I utilize the power of neuromovement through gentle, curiosity-driven movements designed to spark new neural pathways and foster resilience one step at a time. Through my programs, you can embrace your unique journey and cultivate strength and mobility.

My mission is to empower individuals to tap into their brain’s innate capacity for change and connect with a supportive community, enabling them to transform “I can’t” into I can” Every individual deserves to experience renewed hope and the joy of evolution beyond their limitations.

Who AM I?

From "From Impossible to Possible": A Journey of Neural Transformation

The mirror told a stark truth: my right side paralyzed by stroke, my smile frozen, my independence shattered. After seven months of conventional therapy, I felt broken and discouraged. The walls and countertops had become my constant companions, and my young children—only eight years old at the time—had become my unexpected helpers.

But my story wasn't meant to end there.

A Different Path to Healing When I discovered the Anat Baniel Method® NeuroMovement®, everything I understood about recovery changed. My first lesson challenged every assumption I had about rehabilitation. Instead of pushing through pain, we explored gentle movements. Rather than forcing repetition, we awakened awareness.

Initially, I didn't understand why we focused on such simple actions—sitting up, sitting down. But by the end of that first session, my body moved with less effort, and for the first time since my stroke, pain wasn't my constant companion.

The Science Behind the Transformation My journey to becoming a NeuroMovement® practitioner draws upon a unique blend of scientific understanding and lived experience. With a Bachelor's degree in Physics, a Master's in Information Science and a teacher of Classical Pilates, I bring an analytical mind to the seemingly miraculous process of neural reorganization.

This background proved invaluable as I discovered how the brain forms new connections at any age. This approach, is very powerful and it requires patience, awareness, and trust in the process. I offer a process that wakes up, potentates the process between movement, sensations and feelings where the brain has possibilities of figuring out on its own.

Through my personal dedication to the work of Neuromovement, and my sincere faith that one day I will recover brought me here to share my story with you. Come with an open heart and begin noticing changes in you, whatever that may be, and allow yourself what is possible. Recovery isn’t about exercising limitations- it's always a question of creating and improving opportunities for the brain to compute new relationships between the parts and also define which relationships are the ones to execute that specific action.

I knew I had found the modality I wanted to train in that would optimally help babies, children and adults as well as their families to overcome their neurological challenges by reopening the process of differentiation that leads to integration of capabilities.

The Power of Possibility

Progress came through what Anat Baniel calls "differentiation around the edges."

Each small achievement built upon the last. From depending on walls and countertops, I progressed to walking independently. My right hand and shoulder, once frozen in spasticity, began awakening to new possibilities.

I discovered that balance isn't about maintaining stillness—it's about continuous movement. Working with diagonal movements showed me how information crosses both sides of the brain, creating new neural pathways even when the movements seemed impossible.

From Patient to Practitioner Today, I've transformed my experience into expertise. As a certified Anat Baniel Method® NeuroMovement® practitioner, I work with adults, infants and children navigating their own neurological challenges.

My perception, beliefs and inspiration are heavily influenced by my 10 years of study with movement and sensory teachers and specialists.  My approach combines rigorous scientific understanding with deep empathy born form personal experience.  I know first hand that the brain’s capacity for learning never ends -whether you are recovering from a traumatic brain injury, stroke, cerebral palsy, managing chronic pain or supporting a child with special needs.

A New Understanding of Healing

Traditional rehabilitation often exercises our limitations.

Through my recovery and training with Anat Baniel, I've learned that true healing begins when we create conditions for the brain to form new connections. When we move slowly, with awareness and curiosity, we open ourselves to possibilities that conventional therapy might miss.

Every day in my practice, I witness the same principles that guided my recovery helping others rediscover their potential. As Anat says, "When your learning switch is on, you don't stop." My own journey continues as I help others find their path to renewal and possibility.

If you're facing similar challenges, know that your brain has an extraordinary capacity for change. Every small movement, every moment of awareness, is an opportunity for transformation. This is where healing begins.
